Leszno poviat it lies in the western part Greater Poland Voivodeship - was created as a result of the administrative reform carried out in 1999. The county seat is a city Lesznowhich, however, is not part of it, because it is independent district of the town.
Characteristic
The poviat's location in relation to European transport connections is excellent because it is located at the crossroads of important communication routes in the east-west and north-south system. The most important national and international roads run through the Leszno region. As a result, the transport accessibility for both international and domestic tourists is better than in most other areas of our country. A strong point of the region is its favorable geographical location in relation to large agglomerations: do Poznan (about 80 km) i Wroclaw (about 100 km) and European capitals: to Of Warsaw, Of Berlin and Prague is about 300 km.
