Mragowo poviat - a district in the north-east Poland, in Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, located on Masuria, in the Land of a Thousand Lakes. The seat of the authorities of the Mrągowo poviat is the city Mragowo.
The area of the poviat is 1065.23 km², which makes it the 12th largest poviat in the voivodship, as well as one of the least populated.
The poviat is located in the Mrągowo Lake District, among the forests of the Piska Forest and Masurian lakes, which account for over 10% of the entire region. This location favors the development of tourism in Masuriawhich dates back to the 18th century.
