Renesse is a seaside resort on the North Sea on Schouwen-Duiveland in the Dutch province Zeeland.
background
First and foremost, Renesse is a lavish seaside resort. The bathers like to use the free transport from Transferium (Parking) to the beach, village and campsite. The kilometer-long beach is divided into zones. There is a family beach, a water sports beach, a luxury beach and a nudist beach. The transitions between the zones are signposted. It is very crowded here in summer. Renesse is especially popular with younger people who cannot (yet) afford Ibiza.
The history of the seaside resort Renesse goes back to the beginning of the 20th century. back. But the history of the ring village Rietnisse (low land overgrown with thatch) begins much earlier, of which the Gothic St. Jacobus Church (15th century) and the castle Moermond slot (13th century).

- The bus route 134 connects Renesse via Noordwelle - Ellemeet - Brouwershaven - Zonnemaire - Noordgouwe and Schuddebeurs with Zierikzee.
- The bus route 104 runs from Renesse via Noordwelle - Ellemeet - Scharrendijke - Ouddorp - Goedereede and Stellendam to Hellevoetsluis.
Transferium
The Transferium is a large, free and guarded car park on the outskirts of Renesse. In the season (May-Sep) visitors can get free to the beaches, campsites and hotels of Renesse and back from here.
There are also offers that do not drive for free, like the one StrandExpress and the NightExpress.

- Sint-Jacobskerk. Gothic church with tower from around 1425.
- Moermond slot, Laône 12. Tel.: 31 (0)111 461788. Miermond Castle was founded by Costijn van Zierikzee around 1220. The castle was torn apart by wars twice, but was rebuilt again and again. After the last devastation caused by the storm surge in 1953, the owners sold it to the state. The park and castle have now been restored and the castle now houses a restaurant and a congress center.
- 1 Museum De Blikvanger, Capelweg 18. Tel.: 31 (0)111 461704. A collector has 4000 tin cans here (ndl.blikje) collected. Lovers can expand their own collection, as some cans are for sale.
