Reserve "Bukowiec"
Created in 1934, so one of the oldest, the nature reserve "Bukowiec", has an area of ​​6.58 ha and is located in the commune Łyszkowice in Lowicz poviat, voivodeship of Lodz, in Poland. Located 2 km east of the route Brzeziny-Łyszkowice-Skierniewice, in the depths of the forest, by the road from the village of Mszadło to Bobrowa.

The protection covers a mixed forest with a large share beech, growing on the border of its natural range, in the most northeastern position in Poland. The oldest trees, 190-230 years old, have low-set crowns and a height of up to 20 m, and the circumference of trunks from 2 to 3 m. Beech trees are accompanied by slightly younger trees. pine trees, aged 100-120 years, here were planted.

The reserve is overgrown with a poor beech forest (acid lowland beech forest). Currently, the forest is undergoing intensive regeneration.

Rare and interesting plants deserve attention: forest vetch, winged peas and ciliated sedge. Some of them are included in the "Red List of Endangered Vascular Plants in Poland".

The reserve is located approx. 10 km south of Łyszkowice.
