Geographic coordinates: 51 ° 37′06 ″ N 19 ° 29′25 ″ E

Area: 143 ha. It was established on September 14, 1959 in order to preserve a fragment of the original mixed forest (former Lodz Primeval Forest) With fir, beech and spruceoccurring on the northern border of their natural range. There are magnificent, over 150-year-old fir trees in the reserve, oaks and pine trees.

The reserve is located among the vast forests of Tuszyn, on the western side of the road from Lodz down Tushyn.

The subject of protection are well-preserved oak-hornbeam, spruce and beech forests. Some fir specimens reach over 30 meters in height and several meters in circumference. There is a fir and pine forest with an admixture of spruce, and in the southern part of beech and hornbeam.

There are many species of protected plants in the rich undergrowth, such as: ivy, common periwinkle, goldenhead lily, Lycopodium, daffodil daffodilwhich give the reserve the character of a primeval forest.
