Murowaniec nature reserve - Rezerwat przyrody Murowaniec

Murowaniec nature reserve - floristic and forest nature reserve in Poland, in voivodeship of Lodz, in Pajęczno district, in Pajęczno commune.

Geographic coordinates: 51 ° 08′15 ″ N 19 ° 05′00 ″ E

Area: 41.60 ha. Established in: 1963.

The natural, multi-layered mixed forest with silver fir near the northern border of its compact range is protected. The oldest trees of this species here are about 150-180 years old, over 35 m in height and 2 m in circumference. Fir is accompanied by: English oak, rowan (rowan), pine, spruce, hornbeam and warty birch.

Among the vascular plants growing in the reserve, 9 are protected species. Among them are: flattened spotted eagle, broad-leaved helleborine, daphnia and common ivy.

The fauna is represented by: over 20 species of mammals, 5 species of reptiles and 6 species of amphibians. Birds have been recorded here, among others black woodpecker and hawk pigeon fancier.
