Wielkopole nature reserve - Rezerwat przyrody Wielkopole

Created May 18, 1984 the "Wielkopole" floristic forest nature reserve, has an area of ​​42.08 ha and is situated in Poland, in voivodeship of Lodz, in Piotrków County, in the municipality Manually, in the Piotrkow Plain mesoregion.

The aim of protection is to preserve a fragment of the natural fir stand in the vicinity of the northern limit of the fir range, with rare plant species in the undergrowth. The vegetation of the reserve consists of: mixed fir forest, subcontinental oak-hornbeam forest, riparian forest, sphagnum alder and a small area of ​​the bog grassland. The oldest firs have reached the age of 140 and grow up to 40 m in height. A lot of old spruce, oak, sycamore and black alder have also been preserved in the stands.
Flora has over 260 species of plants, including about 30 species of bryophytes.
Among the protected species there are: white knee-length. Of the regionally rare plants, the following were noted here: Oeder sedge, Hartmann's sedge.

The reserve is located in Sulejowski Landscape Park included in the Complex of Riverside Landscape Parks.
