Wojsławice nature reserve - Rezerwat przyrody Wojsławice

Wojsławice nature reserve - floristic and forest reserve with an area of ​​96.69 ha, located in Poland in voivodeship of Lodz, Zduńska Wola district, in the municipality Zdunska Wola in the forestry area Szadek, in the forest district Poddębice.

Created by the order of the Minister of Forestry and Wood Industry of January 16, 1978 on the initiative of Romuald Olaczek professor at the University of Lodz.

The reserve is surrounded by the forest stand of the "Wojsławice" wilderness, its eastern border is the main railway line Silesia - ports.

The protection objective is to preserve a fragment of a forest with different habitat conditions with fir on the northern border of its range. The vegetation of the reserve consists of: pine and oak mixed forest with fir, moist ash and alder forest with fir.

Fir stands here are about 150 years old and up to 33 m high. Among the trees and shrubs in the reserve there are also: English oak, English elm, common ash, Norway spruce, pine, birch, hornbeam, oak, aspen and sycamore maple, and in the layer shrubs: coral lilac, double-necked hawthorn, dogwood.

The undergrowth is very rich. Buckthorn, mountain ash (rowan), elderberry, hazel, and buckthorn are the most abundant in it. The most abundant in the oak-hornbeam community are: the yellow gamekeeper, the gamekeeper's anemone, the scattered loam, the male cashew, forest violet. The following are the most numerous in the rune:forest horsetail, purgatory, forest sedge, ground elder.

Among the rare species occurring here, the following deserve attention: lesser pear, common daffodil, rutewkowata health resort, pink scabbarde, fragrant hug (madder).
