Żądłowice nature reserve - Rezerwat przyrody Żądłowice

"Żądłowice" nature reserve lies in Poland, in voivodeship of Lodz, in you will say Tomaszów, in the municipality Inowłódz and partly in the commune Rzeczyca.

It was established on October 5, 1968 and has an area of ​​241.19 ha.

The system of habitats, unprecedented in Polish forests, is protected, related to the hydrological conditions, the mosaic of forest communities - primarily alder forest and coniferous forest communities (continental mixed coniferous forest and inland mixed coniferous forest), with peat bogs here and there. It is one of the most valuable forest areas in the complex known as the Pilica Forest. There is a belt system of intertwining valleys and elevations. Non-forest vegetation is represented by rush communities: the rigid sedge, the tunic sedge and the platy sedge.
Forest areas deserve special attention, among them: marshy areas alder forest (currant alder), moist ash-alder forest (riparian forest), pine-oak mixed forest and fresh pine forest.
Over 200 species of vascular plants have been found in the reserve, including: forked crow (mountain species) as well as club clubs and junipers.
Nests here black storkperiodically appear moose (Alces alces) - the largest contemporary species of ungulates of the deer family.

A picturesque straight road leads to the reserve and further up to Pilica (3 km) from the village of Żądłowice, through the entire forest forest area, and after 2 km it leads to the village of Rzeczyca.
