Ringlet is a small town in the Titiwangsa Mountains on the Malaysian Peninsula. Coming up the mountains from the south, Ringlet is the first town and therefore the gateway to the Cameron Highlands.

Ringlet is one of the main producers of tea, vegetables and flowers in Malaysia. For the traveler, the city has less to offer, but due to this seclusion it could be attractive for one or the other visitor

Buses leave the bus station in Jalan Raja every hour Tapah to the Cameron Highlands. The fare is around RM 5.00. From the capital of the region, Tanah Rata it goes to Ringlet 8 times a day. The last time at 5:30 p.m.

Tourist Attractions

  • The city is surrounded by a number of tea plantations. The most famous of them is Boh Tea Estate. It is located about 8 kilometers northwest of the city. The buses to Habu Power Station run regularly between 08:00 and 17:30. From the road towards Habu (before the station) branches off the 10-kilometer path to the tea plantation. A taxi directly there costs around Rm 30.00. After Habu continue direction Tanah Rata there is another tea plantation on the left, Bharat Tea Estate. One of the designated hiking trails also starts here. It leads to Gunung Jasar and pus to Orang Asli Village.
