Roetgen (pronounced Reds) is a municipality in the Aachen city region.

Roetgen belongs to the urban region Aachen, right on the border with Belgium. The place is called "Gate to the Eifel" and is on the edge of the High Fens.

The main town Roetgen forms together with Petergensfeld, municipality Raeren, Belgium a contiguous settlement. This article therefore also contains recommendations in the neighboring community. Also the Belgian one Eupen is not far and invites you to go shopping.

The main town of Roetgen is on the B 258 Aachen - Monschau. To the northwest, the A 44 motorway, in Belgium A 3, passes Roetgen; you can choose the last exit on both national territories.
