Roscoff is a french City in the department Finistère, in the Brittany.

background

Politically, the municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Morlaix and the canton of Saint-Pol-de-Léon. Roscoff has been an independent municipality since 1789, when it separated from Saint-Pol-de-Léon.

The five-year-old landed here in 1548 w: Maria Stuartto live in exile in France for a while.

in the 1 Roscoff train station ends the railway line from Morlaix. In Morlaix there is a connection to the TGV in the direction of Paris.

At Morlaix is the exit from the N12 to the D 58, which leads via Saint-Martin-des-Champs to Roscoff, with a bypass of Saint-Pol-de-Léon.

  • To Île de Batz can be crossed by ship from the port. The crossing takes about 15 minutes. It is worth staying for several hours for a very beautiful garden, ruined monastery, a collection of houses. Campsite for campers is available.
