The city of Rosheim is very famous for its beautiful Romanesque church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, and for one of the oldest houses inAlsace, Romanesque, recently restored. The rest of the village is worth lingering over, it has beautiful houses and 4 gates, vestiges of the ramparts.

48.49677.470561 Church of Saints Peter and Paul – More than vestiges, history has given a real character to Rosheim, stage of the Route Romane d'Alsace. This church of XIIe century is the best example. Romanesque art and its stylistic influences are magnificently expressed, with its sculpted bestiary and ornate capitals. Romanesque house (also known as "Pagan House") – Built in 1154, the Maison Romane is a fortified tower in pink sandstone which resembles the fortified castles of the time. It is one of the oldest civil stone constructions in Alsace. It has undergone very few modifications over the centuries. It was restored in its exterior appearance and interior volumes in 2001-2002.
