Riga region is a region of Latvia, it is organized around the country's capital on the Baltic Sea coast. Besides the city of Riga, the most touristic destination in the country, we find in this region the seaside resort of Jurmala with its wooden houses by the sea and its many spas. Further west the town of Tukums is home to a city built in 2004 just for the shooting of a movie.
The region is also rich in natural sites. the kemeri national park which presents landscapes of forests and peat bogs. To the north, the Baltic beaches offer a unique landscape between forest and pine trees and the sea. Sigulda and its three castles is also the gateway to the Gauja National Park, the oldest in the country.
