Sagaing(Burmese: စစ်ကိုင်းမြို့) is the capital of the homonymous Sagaing region in Central Myanmar.

Sagaing is the spiritual center of Myanmar. There are around 600 monasteries and 100 meditation centers on the hills near the city. About 5,000 monks and nuns currently live here. An entrance fee of $ 4 is payable for the entire area of the hill with the monasteries.

In the street
Bus number 8 goes from Mandalay above Amarapura and Inwa according to Sagaing (MMK 50). You can also use the shared taxis. The journey takes about three quarters of an hour. The return trip should then take place around 5:00 p.m.
