Salem is a city in Linzgau. Salem consists of approx. 12 suburbs and is 10 km from Lake Constance, more precisely the Überlinger See.

Salem Castle
The foundation stone for the Salem monastery was laid in the 12th century. The former Cistercian monastery and today's 1 Salem Castle is a museum location, boarding school and residence of the Margraves of Baden.
Feuchtmayer Museum
The 2 Feuchtmayer Museum in the Mimmenhausen district, the takes you back to the Baroque era and tells of Josef Anton Feuchtmayer the great plasterer, wood carver and sculptor. Feuchtmayer designed numerous churches, monasteries and castles with his workshop during his lifetime. The interior of the Birnau monastery church is one of his greatest works.
