The oblast Saratov (Саратовская область) is in the Russian federal district Volga. It is surrounded in the west by the oblasts Volgograd, Voronezh, Tambov, North of Pensa and Ulyanovsk and to the east of Samara. Saratov borders in the southeast and south Kazakhstan.
