South West Scotland is a region of the Scotland.

Thanks to a long coastline, the southwest serves as a recreation area for the inhabitants of Glasgow who flock here not to sunbathe but to practice their favorite sports: golf above all but also sailing. Largs, Troon, Ayr, Turnberry they are the most popular centers. However, the major tourist destination in the southwest is the island of Arran, reachable in less than an hour with the ferries that leave from Ardrossan. Pushing onto the stretch of southern coast, the crowds of weekend holidaymakers thin out somewhat. Stranraer is Cairnryan there are two ports close to each other where you can embark for Belfast. The best place to stay though is nearby and tiny Portpatrick with some hotels even luxury. On the Solway Fith, the deep gulf that separates the Scotland fromEngland is the small center of Kirkcudbright. The most interesting tourist destination in the hinterland is the Galloway Forest Park (Galloway Forest Park).
