The region Sedibeng lies in the south african province Gauteng.
Regions
The district Sedibeng is located in the south of the Gauteng Province and borders the Greater Johannesburg, the districts West edge and Ekurhuleni. Neighboring provinces are Mpumalanga in the East, North West in the West. The Vaal separates Sedibeng from the province Free State in the south.

The Vaal was a border river for a long time, it separated the southern one Orange Free State from the republic to the north of it Transvaalin the center of which is today's Gauteng Province.
