Sovana is a Italian Place in the province of Grosseto in the Tuscany. He belongs to the parish of Sorano, in the Maremma-Region.

background

The place is one of the tuff cities in the region. An important settlement was located here as early as the Etruscan times. The city's heyday was in the 11th century. Today it is still home to around 150 residents.
