Spilia (Greek: Σπηλιά) is a village in Thessaly, the place belongs to the community created in 2010 Tembi, this large parish along both sides of the river Tempe includes the localities on the slopes of the Ossa- and des Olympus massif.

The village Spilia (Greek: Σπηλιά) in Thessaly is located on a plateau on the southwest slope of the Ossa massif and had about 370 inhabitants in 2011. It is used as a starting point for tours on the Oros Ossa.

The nearest international airport is that of Thessaloniki (about 1½ hours by car), but many will also be about Athens travel to Greece.

To get there, leave the autobahn A1 at the exit Symbol: ASSykourio / Larissa 3 or if you are arriving from the north at the Symbol: ASEvangelismos and drives via Sykourio. From here there is a great panoramic view, the summit of the 2 Mt. Ossa can be reached in less than an hour. The refuge of the Larisa section of the Greek mountain club is only open irregularly (telephone reservation), for example on weekends; it is used, among other things, in winter as a starting point for ski tours.
