General information
The Swedish language belongs next to Icelandic, Danish, Norwegian and the languages of smaller islands of a philologically similar kind, such as the Faroe Islands to the North Germanic or Scandinavian languages. As a result, the languages are very similar to one another. In some cases, mutual understanding is even possible in written language and when speaking at a slower pace.
The Swedish alphabet consists of 29 letters, from A to Z in addition Å-å, Ä-Ä and Ö-Ö. These should be taken into account when searching for a dictionary.
It's easy to form small sentences in Swedish because verbs, for example, don't change numbers. Only the personal pronoun (jag, du, han / hon / det, vi, ni, de) has to be taken into account accordingly. There is indeed a polite form (Ni), but this is hardly used any more and one therefore uses the "Duess".
Swedish is only used in public transport Sweden and Parts of Finland spoken. There are about 10 million speakers.

- u as a typical Swedish sound that is not known in German. This u lies between u and ü; it is spoken through strong tension in the lips, example husHouse
- u as a short spoken variant of the above, but with less rounded lips, a little away from the ü, example dogdog
- y
- There are two ways of speaking y:
- y as a long ü, comparable to Tüte, but tending more towards i, example nyNew
- y as a corresponding short version of the above, comparable to that in Stück, example lyckaluck
- å
- There are two ways of speaking å:
- å as less rounded o as in SOhn, example kålCabbage
- å as a corresponding short version of the above, comparable to pOnne, example sångsong
- Ä
- There are four ways of speaking a:

There are different beers: That rolling oil contains almost no alcohol, that folk oil is a little stronger and the strongest and is usually served strong oil.
