Starigrad Paklenica is a city in Dalmatia. It is located in the Zadar County. The Paklenica National Park is in the immediate vicinity and several other national parks can be reached within a short time.

- The wonderful car journey via the coastal road (Jadranska Magistrala, D8) from Rijeka is still possible, but because of the many bends it is significantly slower than the motorway journey via Bosiljevo.

- St. Peter's Chapel. 9-10 Century
- Večka kula. Remnants of a medieval fortress.
- Paklarić. Prehistoric ruins at the entrance to Velika Paklenica.
- Mirilo. In a burial ritual practiced in this region until the 1950s, the deceased were laid out in the landscape on the way to the cemetery at rest areas, made of horizontally aligned limestone slabs with erect, unspectacular headstones and footstones in order to greet the sun one last time . The Mirila can still be found on hikes today.

Due to the short distance between the mountains and the sea, there are a number of options for recreational activities. So it is possible to swim or take a mountain hike in the Paklenica National Park to do. There are tennis courts and a concrete court with 2 goals on the grounds of the Hotel Alan. The tennis courts can be reserved at the reception, the place with the goals is freely accessible for everyone. The hotel's wellness area is also accessible to everyone. There are rental stations for jet skis at both ends of the hotel premises.It is possible to book a photo safari in the Velebit Mountains through Hotel Rajna.

There are several bars in Starigrad, especially at the port. Most of the time young people meet there. The waiters mostly speak German and English in addition to Croatian. The bars close around 1am. In the neighboring village Seline there is a small discotheque where mostly local youths meet after the bars have closed. This discotheque is open until around 4 a.m. You pay around 40 kuna for cocktails and 20 kuna for a Red Bull vodka, for example.
