Beautiful region of United States, typically comprising the states of the Virginia, the North Carolina, the Caroline from the south, the Georgia, the Louisiana, the Mississippi, the'Arkansas, thus all the states which separated from the other states during the civil war, in 1861. A historic region, often ignored by foreign tourists, but nevertheless one of the American regions which lends itself easily to tourism.
