Urban centers
- Camberley
- Chertsey
- Epsom - Home of the Derby, a two-day horse racing festival dating back to 1780, held annually in early June in Epsom Downs, a part of the North Downs. The walks from here to Leatherhead o Box Hill.
- Farnham
- Godalming - Old English market town on the River Wey with a well-deserved reputation for being elegant and popular with the old bourgeois affluent, however it borders on Haslemere, which has even more refined boutiques and restaurants. A trickle of sober elegance, like Gertrude Jekyll's garden. Large and old detached houses, hidden from view by ancient yellow-orange stone walls and numerous tall trees.
- Guildford - University town and largest city in Surrey. It has a medieval castle, an archeology museum, an amazing modern cathedral (comparable to those of Liverpool is Coventry), the main cellars and crypts medieval castles, a placid river with small boats like Cambridge, and shopping opportunities in its traditional, cobbled High Street and off North Street. Good choice of restaurants and nightlife spots.
- Redhill
- Reigate - Historic restaurants, bars, cafes, tea rooms, and the exclusive nightclub. How Dorking you can enjoy the North Downs with free walks on the majestic hill and relaxing in the picnic areas above private golf courses.
- Thames Ditton
- Weybridge - Pleasant city with walks by the Thames closer to the center of London with the SW railway. Oatlands Hotel and dinotrni are a sumptuous resort. Hundreds of classic cars inside its museum.
- Woking - Second largest city, on the SW railway, also with a distinct modernist architectural slant, statues by H.G. Wells, and the oldest functional mosque in the country, built of ornate stone in the 19th century. More than 6 golf courses within 8 km. McClaren Visitor Center nearby. Halfway between the Weybridge is Guildford.
