Sępopol (German: Shovel ax) is a historic city in the voivodeship Warmia-Masuria on the northern edge of the Allenstein Lake District, the southern part of the Masurian Lake District, on the picturesque Schippenbeiler level at the Guber in Poland. The place in the historical region Beards is known for its brick-Gothic old town.
