9:00-21:00. While the original tower was built in the early 20th century, the current "newer" version was designed by Prof. Naitō himself, who also designed the Tokyo Tower. This landmark built in the middle of the Shinsekai (新世界) area is a symbol of the reconstruction of the city of Osaka after World War II.
- 2 Abeno Harukas Tower (あ べ の ハ ル カ ス), 1 Chome-1-43 Abenosuji, Abeno-ku (At Tennoji / Tennojiekimae / Osaka-Abenobashi station). Being the tallest building in Osaka, this tower features shopping malls, restaurants, shops and offices. The most interesting for tourists is probably the Abeno Harukas art museum (temporary exhibitions, around ¥ 1300) and the Harukas 300 observation deck on the 60th floor at 300m high (¥ 1350). If you want to get a good view of the city for free, take the elevators and escalators up to the 17th floor, then change to one of the corporate elevators up to the 30th floor. Here are large glass windows on all sides of the building that offer views of all of Osaka for free!
- 3 Shitennō-ji (四 天王寺), 1-1-18 Shitennōji Tennōji-ku (5 minutes from Shitennōji-mae-Yuhiga-oka subway line

). Originally built by Emperor Suiko in 593 AD. Although the current buildings are mostly post WWII reconstructions, the temple is a rare example that conveys the continental style (particularly the placement of individual buildings within the complex) from the 6th-7th century to the present.
