Tower of the Stars is a tourist resort, part of the municipalities of Maracalagonis is Sinnai which rises on a promontory along the coastal road that leads from Cagliari leads to Villasimius, in the southeast of the Sardinia.

Torre delle Stelle is located about 45 km fromCagliari Elmas Airport[link not working], the arrival point of numerous Low Cost flights from all over Europe.
If you arrive by car, you must follow the signs for Villasimius and take the coastal road of great naturalistic value and overlooking beautiful bays and beaches, such as Is Canaleddus.
If, on the other hand, you want to reach Torre delle Stelle by bus, (ARST) from the airport a shuttle leaves directly to Cagliari, at the Railway station, here you can take the bus to Torre delle Stelle which stops right at the entrance.
The cost of the bus ride is around € 5. The taxi ride costs around € 75.
How to get around
By public transport
From Torre delle Stelle you can easily reach, by bus, (ARST), both the beaches towards Cagliari and those towards Villasimius is Costa Rei. However, it is advisable to have your own car to fully enjoy all that the area offers, including the mountainous areas.
You can take beautiful walks to explore the promontory, even along the numerous stairs that allow you to get directly to the beaches of Genn'e Mari and Cann'e Sisa or to the coves of Delfino and Biscia.
By car
The roads inside the village are dirt roads, however it is not necessary to have an off-road vehicle.
What see
Torre delle Stelle has two splendid beaches of fine white sand the waters are of medium depth and the sea of a blue-green with a thousand shades:
- 1 Genn'e Mari beach.
- 2 Cann'e Sisa beach.
The village is an excellent starting point for exploring the many beaches in the area, some still wild like that of Sa Ruxi, surrounded by a grove of junipers shaped by the wind or Mari Pintau, famous for the colors of its waters.
But also mountainous areas such as the Sette Fratelli Park - Monte Genis and the State Forest of Castiadas which preserve the Sardinian deer, which is on the verge of extinction.

During the spring and summer there are two small supermarkets, a fish market, a butcher and a clothing, handicraft and souvenir shop. There are also kiosks and stalls selling local products, from fruit and vegetables, to cured meats, to Sardinian pecorino cheeses. But also beachwear, books and flowers.
Newsagent, tobacconist and pharmacy are other services available in high season. In low season, a grocery store and the newsagent / bar / tobacconist are open only on weekends.
How to have fun
In Torre delle Stelle there are several bars and ice cream parlors that remain open even until late in the evening. On the Cann'e Sisa beach, the two kiosks organize musical evenings and various events.
Shows
During the summer, bars, restaurants and kiosks on the beach are open to organize themed evenings. In the recently rebuilt small arena, cultural events organized by the Municipality are planned.
Night clubs
Torre delle Stelle is a quiet village and the night is usually dedicated to rest. However, there are small beach bars in Cannesisa that organize live music and themed parties during the summer, staying open until late. Discos, night clubs and a wider choice of entertainment can be found at Villasimius, 20 km or along the coast road leading to Cagliari and on the beach of Poetto.

Inside the village of Torre delle Stelle there are three restaurants / pizzeria and another in front of the entrance. At these restaurants it is possible to taste traditional Sardinian wines and foods at affordable prices. The hotel is open all year round with the restaurant at the entrance.

- Cagliari - The urban center is only 30 km away.
- Park of the Seven Brothers - Monte Genis - The state-owned forests of Sette Fratelli and Castiadas cover an area of 10,000 hectares and are characterized by granite outcrops shaped by the erosion of water and wind. In these environments the Sardinian deer, at risk of extinction, but it is also easy to meet wild boar, marten, Sardinian hare and spot the eagle. Information material and a map of the trails can be found at the Visitor Center. The Sette Fratelli Park is located 50 km from Torre delle Stelle, in the direction of Muravera.
- Giara of Gesturi - The Giara di Gesturi is located about 100 km from Torre delle Stelle, but it is an unforgettable excursion especially in spring. La Giara is a basaltic plateau at about 560 m above sea level. and it is walkable for its entire length. There are forests of holm oaks and cork oaks, Mediterranean scrub with hawthorn, mastic, olive and strawberry trees, cistus and wild lavender. Mediterranean asphodel meadows which, with their white spring flowering, give a particular suggestion to the clearings of the woods and to the grazing areas. Aquatic grasslands including those of aquatic buttercup that cover the Pauli in spring.
- Pauli - Depressions in which rainwater is collected, are scattered throughout the Giara, near them it is easy to spot wild horses that still live in the wild.
Itineraries
The territory of Torre delle Stelle is crossed by about 30 km of dirt roads. Those who love walking or jogging will discover corners with breathtaking views, from the promontory you have a view of both Gulf of the Angels and Capoterra that on Capo Boi and the sea towards Villasimius which is not to be missed. The streets are surrounded by Mediterranean bush with olive and mastic trees, eucalyptus plants, pines, prickly pears and other cacti. But what makes this hill enchanting are the colors of the flowers in the gardens and the scents of wild aromatic plants. From any part of the promontory there are stairways that lead to the two beaches with crystal clear waters, Genn'e Mari and Cann'e Sisa.
