Ungheni is a city of Moldova at the border with the Romania.
Understand
Seventh city in the country and seat of the Ungheni district, it is also an important border town. The Prout River separates Moldavia and Romania and is crossed by a railway bridge. As the two countries use different railway gauges, there is a bogie exchange system in the marshalling yard. On the other side of the border, there is another town, much smaller with the same name.
