Velbert is a city in North Rhine-Westphalia, located in the northern Bergisches Land, surrounded by the big cities eat, Dusseldorf and Wuppertal. Industrially known for the production of locks and fittings, the city has made a name for itself worldwide.

Velbert-Mitte is no longer connected to the rail network, but the S-Bahn line S9 connects the districts of Neviges and Langenberg to the local transport system.
