Geography
The administrative region of Västernorrland is situated in the eastern part of central Norrland and covers the entire historical region (landskap) of Medelpad and most of Ångermanland and the small patches of Hälsingland and Jämtland. It borders on administrative regions Gävleborg, Jämtland and Västerbotten and on the eastern side with the waters of the Gulf of Bothnia.
