Cheeks is a municipality of the Unstruttal administrative community in the south of the state Saxony-Anhalt. The parish is west of Nebra (Unstrut) on the road from Nebra to Memleben.

Wangen is on the tourist route Heavenly paths. The stations are the State Museum of Prehistory in Halle (Saale), the visitor center Arche Nebra in Wangen, the solar observatory of Goseck and the tomb of the dolmen goddess in Langeneichstädt.
