Wengen BE is a village belonging to the municipality Lauterbrunnen belongs. It is 400 m above the Lauterbrunnen valley in the canton Bern in the Jungfrau region at the foot of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains and cannot be reached by car.

Wengen lies on a terrace above the Lauterbrunnen valley. Wengeralp and Kleine Scheidegg are located above Wengen, where the valley station of the Jungfrau Railway on the Jungfraujoch is located. Winter sports have a very long tradition here. The Lauberhorn race, which has been held since 1930, is one of the classics in the FIS Ski World Cup, as it is the longest downhill run that is still contested in the FIS World Cup today.
