The Wadi Hodein, Arabic:وادي حوضين, Wādī Ḥōḍain / Wādī Ḥauḍain, is a valley in the Rootmeergebirge in the egyptianArabian desert. The valley, which runs from northwest to southeast, was once part of a caravan route from Aswan in the area of esch-Schalātīn and into the Ḥalāʾib triangle. The travelers left numerous rock carvings along the valley. The valley begins at the southern end of the Wādī Naʿām. The wadis branch off in the area where both wadis meet Wādī Abū Saʿfa and Wādī Diff. To protect this route, in Greek times in Biʾr Abraq built a fortress.
