Zugdidi is a city in Georgia. Located in the west of the country, about thirty kilometers from the Black Sea coast and not far from the dividing line with theAbkhazia, Zoghdidi is the capital of the region of Mingrélie-et-Haute-Svanétie (Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti). The city is in the center of the plain of Colchis, where Jason would have, according to legend, found the Golden Fleece. Zoghdidi is also at the foot of the Caucasus mountain range.
