Édéa is a city of the Primorska region in Cameroon.

To know

Édéa is a town 66 km from Douala, crossed by the Sanaga River.

The city is of particular importance on an industrial level, within the Cameroonian context; it is in fact home to a large complex for the production of aluminum starting from bauxite, opened in 1955 even before the independence of the country.

Geographical notes

It rises a short distance from the coast of the Gulf of Guinea, in the lower course of the Sanaga River, about fifty kilometers southeast of Douala.
