The San Blas Islands constitute an archipelago of 365 coral islets off the coast of Panama, of which only 60 are inhabited, located in the Caribbean Sea, on the northeast coast of the Isthmus of Panama, where the Indians live hunting and fishing Kunas, in a territory, which forms, with the coastal strip, the "comarca Kuna Yala", territory with a strong autonomy since the war of independence led by these Indians against Panama in the 1920s, even if they speak for the majority Spanish.
