The village, picturesquely situated in the valley of the Białokoski Stream, with a very rapid current, which is why it is sometimes called the Mountain Stream, is surrounded by hills of terminal moraine. South of the village there is a large holiday center, one of the branches of the KS Posnania sports center, from which many famous players come. The village is proud of the Nursing Home for 135 people, built in 1992-1995, intended for the elderly and the disabled. The house with adjacent recreational areas covers an area of ​​2.5 ha.

History

Little is known about the history of the village. It was known from 1417 under the name Łężce Małe. In 1418, the village was run by Mikołaj Żydowski. Its name changed over the years, for example Lanscze Minus (around 1563), Lęscze Minus (around 1577).

During the partitions, the village was part of the Prussian partition and was one of the few in this area in the hands of Polish farmers. After the fall of the November Uprising (1831), a strong Germanization campaign began in these areas.

Historical monuments

Established in the 19th century, the farm complex is the historically most interesting part of Łężeczek. The farm and the adjacent grounds were leased to various people. The oldest residential buildings were built in the years 1897 - 1901, however the multi-functional farm building, dating back to 1868, is the oldest. It consisted of a stable, a barn and a warehouse added in 1904. In the northern part of the property there is a manor house, built around 1891, built on a rectangular plan. It is distinguished by a high gable roof. The interior today differs from the original one, which is the result of multiple reconstructions.

Viewpoint

0.5 km south of Łężeczek, on the road to Pniew there is an interesting vantage point with a parking lot. From it you can see a vast panorama of the eastern part of the Sieraków Landscape Park, especially Chrzypskie Lake and its surroundings.

There is a granite mushroom monument, erected on the initiative of the Academic Senior Club from Poznań on January 1, 2001, i.e. it is the first monument erected in the third millennium not only in Poland but also in the world. It commemorates the 10th anniversary of the Sieraków Landscape Park and the 38th anniversary of the Club, and the shape of the mushroom and the number 63 refer to the symbol of the Club and the year of its creation - in 1963 the club was established by the activists of the Polish Students' Association and the Intercollegiate Branch of PTTK in Poznań.

    • In 1933, a professor Józef Kostrzewski discovered 12 graves from the Bronze Age near Śródka. During the research carried out in the discovered graves, a lot of fragments of vessels were found.
    • Built in the years 1858-1861, the Seydlitz residence in Śródka - the palace - is one of the most representative buildings referring to the tradition of the Middle Ages in Greater Poland. The design of the facade and decorations as well as the layout of the rooms indicate that it was designed by a high-class architect.

In recent years, the palace has become private property and has been restored. A hotel and restaurant were built on the premises of the palace, where tourists admire the beauty of nature in the adjacent park, with an area of ​​2.7 ha, where you can admire, among others, oaks with a trunk circumference of up to 510 cm and the surrounding lakes are admired.

  • Lutomek 3 km west on road 186 to Kwilcz. In the 4th quarter of the 19th century, a manor house was built in the Lutomek farm, which in the 19th century and the first half of the 19th century. In the 1920s, it was the property of the Kwilecki family from Kwilcz. Then the farm was leased, and from the beginning of the 20th century to 1939, the Kapelscy were the leaseholders of the estate in Lutomek. After World War II, it belonged to the Stallion of Stallions in Sierakowand then to the state-owned farm and the Kombinat in Kwilcz.
