Šumperk (German: Moravian Schönberg) is a city in the region Olomouc (Olomouc) in Czech Republic. The predominantly German-speaking city until 1946 is located around 65 km northwest of Olomouc at the foot of the Jeseníky Mountains at the Desná (German: Tess). In 2019 it had around 26,000 inhabitants.

The textile industry developed in the city from the late 18th century (with the largest Manchester factory in Europe, which, however, could not hold up after 1815, later linen spinning). After 1945 there was an extensive exchange of population.

Šumperk is on the state roads 44, in the Mohelnice branches off the European route E 442, and via Jeseník to the Polish border Głuchołazy (Goat neck) leads, and 11that of Hradec Králové (Königgrätz) via Šumperk and Bruntál to Ostrava leads..
