Altefähr

Altefähr is a historical ferry point across from Stralsund to reprimand located. Since the construction of the Rügen dam in 1935, major traffic flows past the municipality of Altefähr.

The 3 Altefähr station is about one kilometer southwest of the town on the Stralsund - Binz railway line. There are hourly connections of the RE 9.

By bus

Altefähr is connected by bus route 1 of the Stralsund local transport and bus route 41 of the Rügen local transport. However, the buses cover the needs of schoolchildren rather than those of visitors.

In the street

Altefähr is about the first exit of the B96 accessible on Rügen and signposted from there. There are enough parking spaces in the village, even if it can get crowded on sunny Sundays.

By boat

There is a ferry connection from Stralsund to Altefähr / Rügen. The passenger ferry runs almost every hour, bicycles can be taken, cars not (info).
