The next train station is Kirchhain on the Frankfurt - Gießen - Kassel line. Regional trains and regional express trains with double-deck coaches stop in Kirchhain. From there, the bus line 382 runs at least once an hour Monday through Friday. Reduced service on weekends. (As of June 2014)

  • Castle ruins - The ruin is on the highest point of the mountain. Small remains of the building have been preserved. The small park invites you to linger. There is a beautiful view from the remnants of the wall that can be walked on.

Tip: below the defensive wall one has a clearer view of the Ohm valley than from the wall.
