Angelica is a small place in the Southern tierRegion in US- federal state new York. The small Village of Angelica lies within the more extensive Town of Angelica.
Angelica has one of the most beautiful town centers in the region.
background
The place named after a daughter of General Philip Schuyler has been settled by Europeans since 1802. The Village of Angelica was officially founded in 1835. Until 1859 this was the seat of Allegany County.

By plane
The nearest major airports are the Elmira Corning Regional Airport (ELM) in Big Flats, the Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC) in Rochester and the Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF) in Buffalo.
By train
The next Amtrak-Broad stations are in Rochester and Buffalo.
By bus
The next Greyhound-Terminal is in Hornell.
In the street
Angelica is on the edge of Interstate Highway 17 (= Southern Tier Expressway).

As in almost all American towns and villages, if you want to visit Angelica you should have a car available. The best way to get around the small town center is on foot.
Tourist Attractions
- Park Circle. Small park in the town center, which is surrounded by a (moderately busy) roundabout. Around the park are some of the most remarkable buildings in the small town, including five churches alone.
- West Main Street. Immediately to the west begins the historic main shopping street of Angelica with a few cafes, antique dealers and other independent small shops.

Every year in midsummer the Allegany County Fair instead, which offers the usual mixture of agricultural fair and family entertainment program typical of the country (but no fair with rides). The access to the Fairgrounds is on the corner of E Main St & Common Rd.
