Beach

Asprovalta (approx. 3000 Ew.) Is a particularly popular seaside resort with Greeks with beautiful beaches between Thessaloniki and Kavala. On summer weekends the place fills up with bathers from Thessaloniki and Bulgaria. Next Kassandra Asprovalta is one of the favorite seaside resorts of the people from Thessaloniki. The season lasts from May to the end of September, after which the place falls into 'hibernation'.

getting there

The closest Airport is Thessaloniki (100km) and Kavala (110km). From there you can reach Asprovalta by long-distancebusrunning between Thessaloniki and Kavala, Xanthi, Komotini, Alexandroupolis drive and stop here. The place is very conveniently located on the motorway and the main road from Thessaloniki direction Turkey. With the Sailboat is the best place to anchor in the small port of Stavros about 8 km south of Asprovalta.
