The Swiss Autobahn 7 (A 7) continues from Kreuz Hegau an der Federal motorwayA81 coming German federal highway 33n Starting directly at the German-Swiss border, initially as the A 7 road via customs to the roundabout Kreuzlingen-Nord (up to there toll-free from the border) and then continues as a motorway through the 1,750 m long Girsberg tunnel. It continues in a west-southwest direction through the hill country north of Weinfelden to the Grüneck junction, where the short stretch of the motorway is completed A23 (formerly T 14) branches off to the east. The A 7 continues to the canton capital of Thurgau, Frauenfeld, past and ends at the branch Winterthur-East where they are on the Autobahn 1 meets.

The total length of the motorway is around 35 km.
