Bad Boll is a community at the foot of the Swabian Alb.

The place Boll was first mentioned in a document in 1155. It has belonged to Württemberg since 1321. The town of Eckwälden, which was incorporated in 1933, belongs to Bad Boll. Neighboring places are Aichelberg, Gruibingen, Dürnau, Zell et al. and the county seat Goeppingen.

While searching for salt, a sulfur spring was discovered in 1595, and a year later the first health resort was built here, which has had its current form since 1825. But only since 2007 can the municipality officially use the title bath decorate.

In addition to the sulfur spring and thermal mineral water, Bad Boll has the Jurassic mudobtained from Posidonia slate.
