Goeppingen is a city in Baden-Wuerttemberg.

Göppingen is the capital of the district of the same name and is located in the Filstal in the foothills of the Alb. Göppingen was first mentioned in a document from 1154 Staufer Kaiser Friedrich Barbarossa mentioned. Göppingen has belonged to Württemberg since 1274. Today the city of Göppingen includes seven other districts in addition to the core city.

Streets and squares
Major roads in the city are in the north-south direction Lorcher Strasse / Jebenhäuser Strasse west and Poststrasse east of the city center. The runs south of the city center and the Fils Jahnstrasse. About the Stuttgarter Strasse if you leave the city to the west, over the Ulmer Strasse eastward. Bundesstraße 10 runs in four lanes through the southern urban area and can be reached from west to east via the junctions at the Öde, Heininger Straße and Holzheim. The Autobahn 8 can be reached via Jebenhäusener Strasse (L1214).
