The old mining town Bad Gottleuba is lying in Eastern Ore Mountains, on the river of the same name and not far from the Saxon Switzerland. The small town was merged with the neighboring town of Berggießhübel in 1999 as part of a municipal reform. The healing springs of Bad Gottleuba have been known since 1928.
getting there
Bad Gottleuba can now be easily reached via the A17 from Dresden to Prague. The farewell 8 Bad Gottleuba is the last junction before the Czech border. From the descent it's only nine kilometers to the city. A railway line no longer exists. If you arrive by public transport, use the Pirna – Cotta – Berggießhübel – Bad Gottleuba – Bahratal bus line from Pirna (border crossing).
