Bad Griesbach in the Rottal is a city in Lower Bavarian spa triangle, which is also called the three source bath.
background
Already in 1973 Griesbach was designated as a state-approved climatic health resort. In 1977 the municipal spa center was opened. Two years later, in 1979, the three thermal springs were officially recognized. In 1985 the city of Griesbach was awarded the title of Heilbad.
The three springs Nikolausquelle, Marienquelle and Karlsquelle, opened in 1973, come from a depth of 1,522 meters and are up to 60 ° C warm.
The town of Bad Griesbach today mainly consists of two districts, the old Griesbach with its grown town center and the new thermal bath district two kilometers away, which has emerged in the last 30 years on the green field.
