The Salzburg Airport W. A. Mozart is about four kilometers west of the City center and is the second largest airport in Austria.

By train and bus
The closest train station with national and international connections is the Salzburg Central Station. The next train stop with local connections is the S-Bahn station Salzburg Aiglhof; the trains stop there S3so that this station can also be reached from Germany from Bad Reichenhall and Freilassing.

Tickets bought in Salzburg (advance sales, ticket machine, from bus drivers) for Salzburg Transport Association (SVV) apply to all modes of transport with changes.
In the street
The airport is located on the street about four kilometers west of Salzburg city center and five kilometers from the German border in the Salzburg district of Maxglan.
All motorways are in Austria toll (Short-term and permanent vignettes available in tobacco shops; the vignette is called colloquially here Badge = 'Sticker'). The exits on the A1 West Autobahn lead to the airport

To toll-free arrival from Germany via the 
Coming from the Munich area, the departure must 115 Bad Reichenhall (in front of the Austrian border). There take the B20 towards Bad Reichenhall, then behind Piding on the 
(= via the "small German corner") to the border on the Kleine Walserberg and then on via Wiener Straße (
) through the local area of Wals (to the airport 5 km from the border). The airport can also be toll-free via Berchtesgaden or Freilassing by driving through the urban area.
