Baltics is located In Europe. The Baltics as a region are very questionable, and the countries in the region did not begin to be called Baltic countries until less than a hundred years ago. There are no trains from Finland to the Baltics, and there are few connections between the countries. The Kaliningrad train passes through Lithuania.

From Helsinki you can get to Tallinn by boat, from where you can continue driving anywhere in the Baltics. Or even To Poland Along the Via Baltica.

By bus

Eurolines [1] and Ecolines [2] owns a comprehensive bus network across the Baltics.

By boat

From Helsinki has excellent ferry connections to Tallinn. From Stockholm there is a ferry connection to Tallinn and Riga.

There are no direct international trains between the countries. There are internal train lines in the countries: in Estonia Estonian Railways, Front railway and GoRail, In Latvia Latvian Railway and Lithuania Lithuanian railways.

  • Via Baltica is an important road that starts from Tallinn through Riga, Vilnius and Kaliningrad towards Central Europe.

Talk

Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania all have their own languages. English is not spoken in general, especially in smaller localities. The older population still speaks Russian, but with the younger generation you can converse in English.

Eat

Baltic food is a mix of Slavic and Germanic cuisine. The foods are usually very heavy, with beetroot, pork, sour cream, horseradish and herring as the predominant ingredients.
